Accepting Grant Applications Beginning September 1, 2025.

Past Grant Recipients

 Each year, CMCA awards Grants to deserving 501(c)(3) organizations benefiting children in the Tulsa area. 

The total amount awarded in January, 2025, was $130,000.

CMCA Guidelines and Instructions

We will be accepting grant applications for 2025 beginning 

September 1, 2025.  

We value our non profit organizations who are "Helping Kids get Better". 

We encourage you to apply for a grant as soon as possible. 


Please read carefully. 

Our application instructions were revised August, 2023.

  

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:

  • 501(c) (3) nonprofit organizations providing health care, welfare or education/enrichment services that directly benefit children 18 years of age or younger and operating within the Tulsa Metropolitan Statistical Area (Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Rogers, Tulsa and Wagoner counties). 
  • Only one grant request per agency per 12-month application cycle.


APPLICATION FORMAT AND CONTENT:

  • 1-2 page letter/application printed on one side only using at least a 12 point font and having margins of at least one-inch.
  • One of the two pages must be on the organization’s letterhead.
  • Letter must be signed by a person who can bind the organization.
  • 1-2 page letter must include the following:
    1. Brief description of the organization and/or its mission statement. 
    2. Brief explanation of the need being addressed or rationale for the request. 
    3. Project description or use of the items for which funding is sought.
    4. Target population and number of children benefitting directly. If children benefit indirectly, explain how and estimate the number of children.
    5. Anticipated outcomes or benefits of the project.
    6. Amount requested, and if applicable, other sources of support for the requested project.
    7. Does the applicant organization receive funds from United Way? 
    8. Name, phone number and e-mail address of contact person who can answer questions about the project and grant application. 

  • Required attachments (one copy each attached to the original only):

  1. List of Board of Directors, Advisory Board, and Executive Director.
  2. 501(c) (3) IRS designation letter.
  3. Income and Expense Statement for Prior Fiscal Year.

  •  Optional: If your organization would like to be included in our marketing, include one picture showcasing your organization working with children. Your submission gives us permission to publish on our website, Facebook and other media. 


ELIGIBLE APPLICATIONS:

Priority is given to projects or programs that help children directly. 

Requests for general funds are discouraged.

Types of eligible projects, include but are not limited to, equipment, basic health and welfare needs, artistic stimulation and learning/educational activities, consumable supplies. 


INELIGIBLE APPLICATIONS:

Capital campaigns or building funds.

Support for a sole individual.

Adult services with no link or benefit to children.

Endowment funds.

Special events.

Youth athletics.

Political campaigns.

Incomplete applications.

Applications for salary or operations.

Requests that are more than $8,000.


SUBMISSION FORMAT, APPLICATION DEADLINE AND AWARDS:

Postmarked on/before October 25, 2025, one original application plus 

7 copies. 

Only one set of attachments is required.

This email will notify us to be looking for your completed application in the mail.


Applications must be postmarked on or before October 25, 2025. 

Early submissions are appreciated and encouraged, 

allowing the opportunity for a possible site visit.

Applicants will be notified of the Grant Committee's 

on or before December 31, 2025.

Successful applicants will receive their Grant awards 

on or before February 1, 2026.

Applications will NOT be considered if submitted in person, by FedEx, express delivery, facsimile or electronic methods except for the first page PDF file of your application as requested above. 

Do not send/submit DVD's, CD's, leaflets or brochures. 

Failure to follow instructions will void your application.
